Rain Maker - The Book
Rain Maker

I
N THE BEGINNING, GOD CREATED THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH, AND HE SAID, “IT IS GOOD.”
BEFORE ANYTHING WE CAN COMPREHEND AS TIME GOD WAS ALIVE, BUSY CREATING AND I WOULD THINK LAUGHING, FOR GOD IS A GOD OF JOY.
PEACE, UNDERSTANDING, LOVE AND SWEET FORGIVENESS ALL JUST A FEW OF THE WONDERS OF GOD.
Sometimes in life we have accidents which make us not remember things, well, that can feel a bit scary, as people sometimes do feel a bit afraid when they are ill. I had an accident, and lost allot of my memory. I did not know my name, or who my family was. So, I prayed and my friends and family helped me re-learn about life. For, remember, even if you feel very hurt, you can heal, create, love and enjoy life. For with God, all things are possible.
I have two wonderful children who were only 10 & 8 when I lost my memory, they prayed with me, and laughed with me. They and always God first inspired my songs. Days continue and every day holds more inspiration for songs, smiles, laughter and Praise, with which I begin and end my Day.
My sons and I traveled to visit family, and we visited parks, museums and so much more, we were invited to churches and family dinners, my family baked me a surprise birthday cake.
We lived, and took time to become acquainted.
My sons inspired within me deep prayers to God for their futures, there is no limit to the joy a parent feels when their child is happy.
I remembered how to play the guitar… and sing, with God and my sons I made music.
After living in California, Maryland, New Mexico, Missouri, tours across the country, and now music all around the world, I can say the future is always brighter than it may appear.
Don’t give up, Give it up to God!
? Is It a Blanket or a Sky?
In 2002 I was the Director for a Kinder Program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We played and painted, created and sang. Everyone Graduated Swinging K101. I was also a Producer for Citadel Radio Group in Albuquerque, I was Sound Engineer and Producer for many events within our listening area, I was also in Promotions, and was part of hundreds of Radio Remotes, live Shows and Tons of Fun Events like, the International Balloon Fiesta, The State Fairs, Super Bowl Parties and other events which filled every week of the year.
For years my husband and I traveled performing in our extra time in the Southwest and the Los Angeles Area of California, then included Salt Lake City, Utah; Rangeley and Grand Junction Colorado; Lawrence Kansas; Nashville, Tennessee; Bellville, and Collinsville, Illinois; St Louis, Rolla, Sedalia, Eldon, Missouri State Parks, Columbia, Mexico, Fulton and Missouri Style Family Festivals about God, Love, Peace, Trust and Family This is only a partial list of performance cities more are on the web site.
A
serious Drought was happening in the United States in 2002, and I believe in the Power of Prayer. I Prayed about it and as a Gift From God, I picked up my 12string Guitar and the song “Rain Maker” was born.
Rain Maker is my inner most memory of a Beautiful Lady of God who sang about Miracles, She was singing to the people and came back to me, took my hand, I was a child, and told me in the middle of what to me was a Church Service that God would use my voice to Teach of Miracles.
Sheryl on Santa Monica Beach, California
H
ave you heard of Miracles?
For they are real,
they are given by
God to help and to heal.
They are given to encourage & inspire,
Miracles do not ever steal.
Miracles are His Pure Goodness
They Will Endure, Just as He.
I
n Truth Or Consequences, New Mexico I performed “Rain Maker” for an Audience at Geronimo Days, As I finished the song, the rain begin, half of the audience was on covered bleachers the other half in the open, the crowd all moved to the covered area, as soon as they were seated the light, sweet gentle rain stopped. As God Said, “Yes, I Hear.”
O
n Father’s Day 2003, I performed “Rain Maker” to thank God, and from me say “Happy Father’s Day” To Him on KTAO FM, in Taos, New Mexico. As I finished the song, the rain once again begin, this time He made it rain over four hours. My husband and I ate dinner in a spectacular Taos Rain……..
S
o, I traveled and sang, the rain keeps coming, and God keeps Giving. Please remember, I do not ask for rain, I offer the song of thanks for rain to The Rain Maker, He decides when, how much or how little, and if any at all. Heavy rainfall has also slowed after I sing. For He is in control of it all, I do believe He wishes to communicate with each and every one of us.
I
n the fall of 2005 I was invited to audition for Nashville, Tennessee’s Christian Music Presenters in St. Louis Missouri. No rain was on the Forecast, I sang “Rain Maker” in a Baptist Church in North Saint Louis, after I sang we all stepped outside together, the Ministers, my husband and I, a Gentle Sweet Rain was Blessing us.
Ever since then I’ve been Endorsed by the Christian Music Presenters’ out of Nashville.
O
ne of my Favorite places to perform is Cooper’s Landing, along the Missouri River, with a perfect sunset view, great music, camping and campfires too. It’s all about God, it’s all about me It’s all about you. Only working all together will we work this all through. So, show me your smiles, I’ll show you mine too.
At Cooper’s Landing I’ve played “Sweet Missouri Rain”, a Song of our Heroes Coming Home Once Again. I’ve been in Missouri now for years I’ve written more songs about my sons. Now, they are both in the Army and are Far, Far from home.
But, I know just how much God Loves us, for I’ve seen Miracles unfold, just as He sees our lives as though on canvas, He can see right on so far beyond.
R
emember, if your goal is to be a musician (that can be anyone),
• you should know the best. (God).
• Try and understand others’ pain. Don’t contribute to it
• Live a real life, aspire to be what you really wish to inspire in others
• Remember every step you take is as a Teacher to another
• Always remember, you do not know it all, Remember to enjoy discovery and learning
• Only perform what would not someday embarrass the most innocent person in your life
R
emember how He taught us to pray:
“Our Heavenly Father, who Art in Heaven, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done, On Earth As It Is In Heaven. – I pray in the Name of the One who taught me to pray, Jesus Christ.
I set down and created a five and ten year plan, to tell the world of the miracles I’ve seen and that I Know He Cares.
I’m a Radio Personality in Sedalia and Columbia Missouri. a Producer, I’ve been Site Director for Youth and Kinder Programs in Schools and worked two years as an AmeriCorp Volunteer. I had a Stroke, and continued on. I just graduated with my first Degree in Psychology. I am a Christian Medical Intuitive. Another Miracle I can report is being on schedule, despite some serious medical difficulties. It was His plan, not just mine. I will keep on going, sharing and knowing that God’s Family is the most Beautiful Family Ever

Lyrics
Dirt Roads
I remember when I was a little girl
I dreamed of traveling all over the world
I wanted to see those, who like me, wanted Heaven, Why Eternity
So I traveled, I went where I could, Singing to others and they back to me
Happiness all that I wanted to give
Many gave just that back to me
Dirt Roads, I found beckon to me, Come on with use and see what we see
Dirt Roads, I found beckon to me, Come on with us and see life God’s way
Friends here, they work with wood,
Or what ever their Souls lead they should
They found more happiness than other did who found evil instead of their dreams
There was a Lady, she had a tray
She’d offer you jelly beans,
Should you decide to Stay
She made me laugh with her stories and her ways
I told her she should write, she just laughed and said maybe someday
North of Santa Fe in D
Sheryl Clapton
Snowflakes glisten all around, the snow did fall, but the moon has found,
A Clear Cool Light, which gives us sight, Somewhere North of Santa Fe
With children asleep in the back seat, I listen to the music, and tap my feet, wish they were awake, to see the lights, the treats, somewhere north of Santa Fe.
Chorus:
Somewhere north of Santa Fe, the peaceful rhythms in my soul say, welcome in God's Day.
They may call this the wilderness, but what I've found surrounds us with a hush, new fallen snow and happiness,
Ribbon upon which my car drives, my eyes see all they can and we survive, wilderness changes colors now.
Will sunlight change what we have seen? Will it change the attitude within me? We'll put it to the test eventually.
Chorus:
Somewhere north of Santa Fe, the peaceful rhythms in my soul say, welcome in God's way.
Welcome in God’s Beautiful Day!!
My Sons in C
-Sheryl Clapton copyright 2007
You’re takin’ your dreams along with you,
With God, you know, your dreams will come true
Though it may take time, He’ll show His hand in time
I pray that your day, Goes only His way
I held your hand, We talked of Him
I remember the day we swam away,
The two of you dove from the rocks
In this land that you love
We played in the snowy day, in the Tahoe tree grove
I watched you Graduate, I saw you all grown up
Then we walked through the Mall of Man
I took your arm, you’re my soldiers after all...
Now I package boxes, sending them out to you with love
Guitar strings and a tuner to Cole in Iraq
I’ll send Hot cocoa to Cody in the Colorado snow
And I send each one with love, Sure you can share with those around
You know they’re all in our family too
Sent with Love to our Army of the Red, White and Blue
I pray that your day, Goes only His way
I held your hand, We talked of Him
I pray that your day, Goes only His way
I held your hand, We talked of Him
Sent from Mom, with Love
This is a living book with more to come. Please revisit for more….
